Thoughts

My memories of Rajan Annnan the time we spent together in Colombo, Badulla and Gampola. Playing cards, singing Jimreeves songs. You played the guitar and we sang. You always came to pick me up from my evening classes because you didn’t think it was safe for me to travel alone late evenings by bus. Thank you being the protective and caring Annan you were to me. I wish you had kept in touch. Rest in Peace Annan. I will miss you dearly 💔

Rajan – I (Mala) recall visiting your family in Maskeliya as a young child and making some good memories. Unfortunately we lost touch growing up till we reconnected in 2013/2014. Although I did not get the opportunity to meet with you again I am thankful that we kept in touch through email. The most luminous shine from your life that all of us will remember is the selfless role you played in helping your mum and guiding your younger brothers transform into responsible young men. May you rest in peace in the “land where you never grow old” and someday we will “meet on that beautiful shore”. To Rohan, Noel & Christopher – our deepest sympathies to you on the loss of your brother – who was a father like brother to you all. May the memories he has left behind give you comfort in the days/years ahead.
